Our Himalayan salt is sourced sustainably from salt mines in North Western Pakistan. The supplier visit Pakistan often and work closely with a family business there and they confirmed that there are no children working in the salt mines. Once in Australia, the supplier hand sifts the salt to thoroughly clean it and to ensure that all possible contaminants are removed. Our supplier has also had the salt tested for heavy metals and the results have been clear. At no time has the salt been fumigated or irradiated on entering Australia. Himalayan Salt has around 84 minerals.
